Notice the small changes in an older pet. A 33-page printable care planner for senior dogs and cats, with daily logs and vet notes. Instant download.
Description
Older pets rarely change overnight. They change a little at a time: a slower climb up the stairs, a bowl left half full, a longer nap after the walk. Each small change is easy to miss, and by the time you notice, it is hard to say when it started.
This senior pet care printable helps you see the pattern. You write down what normal looks like on a good day, then log the everyday things that matter as your pet ages. When you sit down with the vet, you bring clear notes instead of a vague feeling, and the conversation gets better because of it.
Purpose: a senior pet care printable for noticing small changes
Ageing pets often hide discomfort well. A cat stops jumping onto the bed but finds another spot. A dog walks a little slower and you adjust without thinking. Written notes catch those changes because they compare today with a record, not with memory.
The pack starts with My Pet’s Normal: twelve everyday things to record on a good day, from resting breaths to stairs. Every log after that measures against that baseline.
Notes for the vet, not decisions
The pages record what you see. Nothing on them scores your pet or tells you what to decide. Those conversations belong with your vet, and these notes make them easier.

Sharing care with family or a sitter
The Care Handoff Sheet collects feeding, medication times and comfort routines on one page. Leave it with the binder when someone else looks after your pet, and ask them to tick the daily log while you are away. When you return, you can see at a glance how the days went.
For a longer trip, the Pet Sitter & Emergency Pack gives your sitter the whole picture: daily routine, house notes, a vet care form and report cards for each day.
The day it is for
Your old dog seems a bit stiff lately, but you cannot say since when. You open the binder. The calendar shows three hard days last month and six this month, and the mobility log notes slower stairs from the second week. At the vet, you hand over the pages. The conversation starts with facts, and you leave with a plan you understand.
For every pet’s records in one place, the Pet Health Binder pairs well with this pack. More printable tools are on our tools page.
Care
Keep the printed pages in a ring binder or folder near where you feed your pet, so logging becomes part of the routine. Reprint the daily and weekly logs as they fill up. Update the medication tracker every time a dose changes.
The pack is a record-keeping tool, not veterinary advice. Talk to your vet about your pet’s care and any decisions.
