A hammock-style rear seat cover in 600D Oxford cloth with PP cotton padding, a non-slip backing and a PVC waterproof coating. Zips on both sides make getting in easy, velcro openings let the seat belt buckles through, and a separate clip attaches to your dog’s harness. 3-in-1 Travel Water Bottle

A water bottle with a drinking tray built in. Water flows into the tray for your dog and the leftover goes back into the bottle. The 300 ml bottle also holds waste bags; the 500 ml set adds a food box for long days. Read more on the travel water bottle page.

Fit: checking the set suits your car and your dog

The seat cover measures 137 × 147 cm and fits most cars; adjustable straps tighten it for narrower back seats. Measure your rear bench from door to door before you order. The cover is made for medium and large dogs.

For the bottle, the 300 ml size suits short trips and small dogs. Choose the 500 ml set for long drives or bigger dogs, or when you want to carry snacks.

Setting up for a long drive

• Fit the cover before the day of the trip, so you are not adjusting straps in a car park.
• Clip the separate strap to your dog’s harness, never the collar.
• Fill the bottle with fresh water and keep it in the door pocket.
• Plan a stop every two hours for a short walk and a drink.

Safety on the road

The seat cover protects the car; it does not restrain your dog. Clip the separate strap to a well-fitted harness and keep it short enough that your dog cannot reach the front. Never leave a dog alone in a parked car on a warm day. On long trips, stop every couple of hours for a short walk and a drink from the bottle.

The day it is for

A long drive to the coast. Your dog settles on the back seat where they can see you through the mesh. At the halfway stop, you fill the bottle’s tray and they drink without spilling on the seat. At the beach, sand and wet paws go straight onto the cover. At home, you shake it out on the drive.

Care

• Seat cover: shake out fur after each trip, wipe marks with a damp cloth; the cover is machine washable.
• Bottle: rinse after each use, wash by hand and leave it open to dry.
