Dog Bath Brush with Shampoo Chamber

Shampoo that reaches the skin, not the drain. Fill the chamber, brush, and soft bristles spread lather through the coat.
Description
Bath time usually goes like this. Wet the dog and pour shampoo into one hand. Try to rub it in with the other while holding a slippery dog. Watch half the shampoo run down the drain. The coat on top gets soapy. The skin underneath barely gets touched.
This dog bath brush carries the shampoo for you. Fill the chamber, wet the coat, and brush. Soft rubber bristles spread the lather down through the fur while your other hand stays free to hold your dog. Less shampoo goes down the drain, and the bath feels more like a massage than a struggle.
Purpose: a dog bath brush that gets shampoo to the skin
Shampoo poured onto a wet coat tends to sit on top. Thick or double coats are the hardest, because the top layer holds the water and the lather never reaches the skin.
Brushing while you wash fixes that. The bristles part the fur and carry the lather down with each stroke. You use less shampoo, the wash is more even, and rinsing is quicker because the soap is spread evenly instead of in clumps.
One hand for the brush, one for your dog
With the shampoo inside the brush, you no longer need a free hand for the bottle. Keep one hand on your dog’s chest or collar and wash with the other. For a wriggly dog, that alone makes the bath calmer.

Materials & make: how the shampoo chamber works
The brush has a plastic body with soft rubber bristles on the underside. Inside sits a chamber that you fill with your own shampoo. The rounded top fits in the palm of your hand.
- Open the chamber and pour in a small amount of shampoo.
- Add a little water if your shampoo is thick, then close it.
- Wet your pet’s coat thoroughly.
- Press the brush gently and move it in small circles along the coat.
- Rinse the coat well, then rinse the brush.

Between baths
Used dry, the soft bristles also work as a grooming brush for short coats. They lift loose hair and dust from the surface of the coat. For thick undercoats, a dedicated deshedding tool does more.
Three colours
Green, orange or pink. Each has the same chamber and bristles.
Fit: which pets the bath brush suits
Sizing: One size, about 10 × 7.9 × 6 cm (3.9 × 3.1 × 2.4 in), palm-sized with a grip. It fits in one hand for dogs and cats of any size.
- Short coats: the bristles reach the skin easily.
- Medium and long coats: work in sections and use more water.
- Cats who tolerate baths: use gentle pressure and small circles.
Where to use something else
Matted fur needs detangling before a bath, because water tightens mats. Use a comb or ask a groomer first. For heavy shedding seasons, pair the bath brush with a deshedding tool between washes.
A calmer bath routine
Lay a non-slip mat in the bath or shower tray so your dog feels steady on their feet. Use lukewarm water, and wet the coat from the neck down, keeping water away from the face and ears. Work the brush in slow circles and talk to your dog as you go. Finish with a long rinse, because shampoo left in the coat can leave it dull. A short, calm bath is better than a long one that your dog learns to dread.
The day it is for
Saturday afternoon, after a walk through the woods. Your dog smells of something they found under a hedge. You fill the brush with shampoo, stand them in the shower and work in small circles from neck to tail. The lather reaches the skin, the rinse is quicker, and the shampoo bottle lasts longer.
Between baths, our guide to deshedding without a full bath covers weekly brushing. The Steam Deshed Brush takes care of loose fur on non-bath days. For the right everyday brush, see our guide to the best dog brush for each coat type.

Care
- Rinse the bristles under running water after each bath.
- Open the chamber, rinse out any leftover shampoo and leave it open to dry.
- Pull out any hair caught between the bristles.
- Store it dry, away from direct sunlight.
Questions about the dog bath brush
Does the brush come with shampoo?
No. Fill the chamber with your pet’s usual shampoo. If the shampoo is thick, add a little water so it flows through the brush more easily.
Can I use it on a cat?
Yes. The bristles are soft, and the brush fits in one hand. Use gentle pressure and small circles, and keep the bath short for cats who are nervous around water.
Does it work on long or thick coats?
Yes, with more water and in sections. Wet the coat thoroughly, then brush one area at a time so the lather reaches the skin. Detangle any mats before the bath.
Can I use it without water?
Yes, as a light grooming brush. Used dry, the soft bristles lift loose hair and dust from short coats. For heavy undercoats, a deshedding tool works better.
How do I clean the bath brush?
Rinse the bristles under running water, open the chamber and rinse out any shampoo. Leave it open to dry so no water stays inside.
