The cover is 600D Oxford cloth, a heavy woven fabric, with PP cotton padding and a polyester layer for comfort. The underside has a non-slip backing, and a PVC waterproof coating keeps spills and wet paws on the cover.

How to measure your back seat

Measure the width of your rear bench from door to door at the seat cushion. Then measure from the top of the backrest down to the front edge of the seat. Compare both numbers with 137 × 147 cm. Smaller cars use the straps to take up the slack.

Fitting it in five minutes

1. Clip the rear straps around the back headrests.
2. Lay the cover across the seat and tuck the anchors into the gap behind the cushion.
3. Clip the front straps around the front headrests to form the hammock.
4. Open the velcro slots for the seat belt buckles.
5. Clip the separate strap to your dog’s harness before you drive.

Safety on the road

A seat cover keeps the car clean; it does not restrain your dog in a sudden stop. Always clip the separate strap to a well-fitted harness, never to the collar. Keep the strap short enough that your dog cannot reach the front seats. On long journeys, stop every couple of hours so your dog can stretch and drink. Never leave a dog alone in a parked car on a warm day, even with the windows open.
